Modern Day, 2001 - External Of Yuan Ching Secondary (Day)

A young guy, an exact duplicate of Josh, was standing outside the gate of his new secondry school, wondering what will happen to him on his first day. Just when he is deep in his thoughts, a girl, who look like an exact duplicate of Noah, knocked onto him.

Girl : Sorry !!

Guy : Huh .. oh it's ok.

But the girl has gone inside the building. The guy, realising that he's late, rush into the building as well.

Int. Parade Square

The place is full of students, all catching up. The guy quickly run to his assigned class. To his surprise, the girl that knocked onto him just now is in the same class as him.

Girl : Hi .. I'm Summer.

Guy : Hi .. I'm Sky. We're in the same class arhz ? what a concidence .. HaHaz ..

Summer : Ya !! HaHaz ..

Then the national anthem begins and the principal of the school, Miss Selene, give a welcoming speech to all sec 1 and a few matters at hand to notified the teachers and the seniors. After the assembly, all classes proceeds to their own classroom.

Internal School - Classroom

The class was air conditoned but a bit run-down. Despite the cold morning, everyone is feeling rather chirpy and excited on their first day. Upon assigning of seats, Sky and Summer were assigned to sit together in the class but as there is an additional seat beside them, a girl, who looked exactly like Hilary, was arranged to sit there.

Summer : Hi .. what's your name ?

Girl : Hi .. I'm Kuri & you 2 are ?

Summer : I'm Summer. | Sky : I'm Sky .. HELLO !!

The 3 of them chatted happily for the first few periods of the class. It's like they know each other for a long time. Then, it's time for lunch break.

Sky : Hey, why don't we have lunch together ??

Kuri & Summer : OK ! !

Canteen - Around 11.32 a.m

The 3 of them had finished their lunch and was thinking of roaming around the school. As more people came down for lunch, they felt a need to give up the seats for them.

Kuri : Hey, Let's give up our seats to people who needs it and go roam around the school. I heard there is a forbidden place that is out of bounds to teachers and students . Let's go there shall we ??

Summer : Er .. Isn't the word "Forbidden" means a No No ??

Kuri : Well, ya .. but .. what the heck .. Let's go .. pLeaSeeEe ?!?

Sky & Summer hestitated for a while before agreeing to it. Then they left the place to go to the "Forbidden Place" .

Forbidden Place - Back Of School

The 3 of them were playing around and pushing each other until they realised they had stood before an old chapel. Unknown to them, this place used to be Fire lane, a part of God Village, a village that was in San Francisco that is used for executing the prisoners.

Sky : Wow !! A chapel. Who knows there is such a place behind the school. Let's go in, shall we ?

Summer : I'm not sure .. how about you Kuri ?

Kuri : Of course we should go in .. we are here, aren't we ?

The 3 of them went in carefully. Little do they know, this little adventure is going to change their life forever.

Internal - David Chapel

As they push the metalic door, in front of them is a small hall with a few benches, an altar & a statue of an unknown deity. There is a room located right beside the altar. The 3 of them went looking around before going into the room.

Internal - Mysterious Room

The room is full of books covered with dust. Ancient demonlogies, ancient prophecies & etc. Sky is at the table, flipping through the books while Summer and Kuri are examing the shelves. Then, Kuri accidentally step onto something and slipped but luckily, she hold onto a book on a shelve located at the right of the room. The book did not fall out, instead a door on the floor was opened. The 3 of them was puzzled yet amazed by the secret door on the floor.

Sky : Hey, a secret room !! Let's go down, shall we ?

Kuri : I don't think so. What if some monster or ghost is below and we awaken it ?

Summer : Don't be ridiculous !! I think we should go down and have a look but keep this door opened ok ? God knows what is down there & we can run out in case something happened ..

(Sky & Kuri looked at each other in amazed about how Summer changed her altitude in a spilt second.)

Summer (puzzled) : What ? Oh .. well .. it kinda got me all excited so .. let's go !!

The 3 of them head down, leaving Sky & Kuri puzzled about what just happened.

Internal - Secret Room

Below was a room. No way in, no way out. The stone walls that is around the room allow no light to shine in. The only light source is from the window located above the altar. There is a Pentagram on the floor, an altar on the front with a thick mysterious book, 2 lighted candles, black and white, a chalice and some big white crystals & a wooden chest beside the altar. The 3 of them walk down the stairs that leads them from the room above to this secret room below suspiciously. Making sure that everything is safe, they relax a bit and walk to the altar, where it lies a book ..

Kuri (blowing the dust off the cover): What is this? It's old and Ah CHEW !! and covered with dust !!

Behind the dust, a thick black book with a cover showed a Triquetra, a trinity protection symbol which also means 3 powers working as one. It's carved on a thick wooden material, Pennyroyal, which is known for its magick properties and most imporatantly, its ability to protect itself from evil.

Sky (back away from Kuri) : Ermz .. if I'm not wrong, this is a book of witchcraft or also known as the " Book Of Shadows ". It contained spells and personal accounts of various demons and spells used for different purposes and in different situation.

They flip the cover and sure enough, showed the word " Book Of Shadows" in a nicely drawn n designed way. They flip to the back of the book and saw one sentence carved on the back cover of the book :

Sky : " United Power, Ch0s3n, Shall Set Us Free " . Interesting ...

As they are about to read furthur, the bell rang. They realised that school is still going on and decided to head back. Sky decided to take the thick book with him, without the 2 girls knowing.

Int. Of Classroom - Noon

Teacher : Ok class, remember to bring $1.50 for the worksheet and also to sign the target-setting forms. See you tomorrow.

After finishing the sentace, students are seen packing up their stuff. Chairs pulling and pushing, People chatting, footsteps rushing out the classroom. The only people left in the class are Sky, Kuri & Summer. They are discussing about what they discovered just now. Then, Sky took out the thick book, surprising the other 2.

Kuri & Summer : YOU TOOK THE BOOK OUT OF THE CHAPEL !?!?

Sky : Yup.

Kuri : What if it unleases out some evil or curses ? Sky !!

Sky : Hey HeY !! Ok, I know what I did was wrong but let's check out the book ok ? Let's meet back here later again?

Girls : Hmmz .. fine. But promise us you put the book back ok ?

Sky : OhHh .. oOo Fine ..

End of Act 1

Ext Chapel - Full Blue Moon Night

It's 8 + going to be 9p.m. The 3 of them met up outside the chapel. They decided to go in the secret room to read the book so as to prevent the securities to catch them on this forbidden ground and most importantly, stay in the school even though is late at night.

Int Secret Room

The blue moon shines brightly outside the chapel, with it's light shining on the pentagram. The 3 of them sit within the pentagram and flip on the first page.

Sky : It's foretold that 3 poweful beings will gather together on this sacred ground. Hey !! These 3 people look exactly like us !!

Kuri & Summer : Is it ? (looking at the page) Ya it does !! It's weird .. how come they look exactly like the 3 of us ??

Sky : Erm .. Ar haRz !! There it is. The book said these 3 people are the previous life of the powerful beings. They are Noah, Hilary & Josh. These 3 people are orphans living in a church which is in a village located in San Francisco. They each posses a power : Noah poseses the power to see the future, Hilary of the power of Telekinesis (or the power to move things with her mind) & Josh posses the power of projection, a rare power that turned things into whatever the mind projects. However, they were burned at stake under the crime of witchcraft by their Adopted Father, Father David.

Summer : Wow .. Poor them, died in such horrible death.

Sky : Ya .. wait there's more. It said that when a full blue moon is above the sky, all elements are balanced. The 3 powerful beings gathered together on this day, and a spell is chant to awaken their powers :

" Hear now the words of the Powers,
The secrets we hid in the night
The Oldest of Gods are invoked here,
The Great Work Of Magick is sought.
In this night, Full blue moon, in darkest hour,
We invoke thee, most ancient power.
Blessed the powers upon us 3,
In this sacred space, so MOTE IT BE !!"

It looks like today. (Peering out the window to make sure the moons is full). Ohya .. I remembered the newspaper mentioned today is a rare Full Blue Moon Day, once in every 100 years. So How ? Do we want to try this ?

Kuri & Summer : Well .. I don't know .. I guess ..

Sky (Suck in Air & Puff them out) : Okay .. Here goes ..

Sky, Kuri & Summer (all in 1 voice) :

" Hear now the words of the Powers,
The secrets we hid in the night
The Oldest of Gods are invoked here,
The Great Work Of Magick is sought.
In this night, Full blue moon, in darkest hour,
We invoke thee, most ancient power.
Blessed the powers upon us 3,
In this sacred space, so MOTE IT BE !!"

As they chant the spell, the chapel shook, flames on the candles lighted more brightly & the moon shone even brighter than usual. The moonlight turned from blue to white. Suddenly, All elements (Air, Fire, Water, Earth) surrounds them in a whirlpool-like motion. The 3 of them rise above the ground and their body glowed in the purest light they have ever seen. Power gushed through them and then, images of their previous life flashes through their eyes like watching a 3D movie. After a while, everything stop as the 3 of them fainted from all the motion and their body slowly decend on to the ground.

Next Day - Int. Secret Room

3 of them woke up in daze, wondering what had happened last night.

Sky : Wow .. what happened yesterday ?

Summer : I .. I don't remember..

Kuri : Me neither..

Sky : Well .. it could not be that bad since we are all safe. Awww .. my head .. it hurts. Hey it's morning. I think I'm not going to school today and head home to rest. How about you guys ?

Summer & Kuri : Ya .. me too ..

Kuri : God .. we all had headaches !! & what's that you say about us being safe ?

Sky (nudging Kuri) : Very funny ..

Int. Summer's House - Day

Summer is lying on the bed because of the headache.

Summer : Awww .. mom .. MOM !! YOU THERE ?!

Then .. She has a vision :


" Her mom was bringing home the groceries. When she open the door, she didn't see the toy car on the floor and step on it, causing her to fall and bleed. Then she fainted."


Back from the vision, She was shocked about what she saw but not sure whether she should believe it. Then the sound of door opening was heard. She ran out of her room quickly despite her intense headache & saw the scenes that was similar to what she saw in her vision. Before her mom step on the toy car, she shouted at her mom about the toy car. Her mom, realising the toy car, managed to step back before the tradegy Summer saw happened. Both heaved a sign of relieve. However, her mom was curious about how Summer knew about the toy car incident.

Mom : Thank god Summer !! If I had stepped onto that thing, I will fall and god knows what will happen. How did you know anyway ?

Summer : I don't know .. a hunch maybe ?

Mom : HaHaz .. probably ..

But Summer knew better. She knew that her life had changed and whatever is happening to her, probably will be happening to Kuri & Sky, as prophecied by the book.

Int. Kuri's House - Day

Kuri opened the door, Seeing that no one was at home, she shouted around, hoping to get some response ..

Kuri : Mom .. I'm back. Mom ? Dad ? Anyone ?

She squeezed her temple hard as the headache become more intense. She glanced around the house to look for any notes left by her parents or siblings about their wherebouts.

Kuri: God !! This headache is killing me .. Ouch !! Where is my slippers ?

She focused hard on her slippers. Suddenly, her slippers just flew out from below the sofa that is in front of her.

Kuri : Huh ?? Ok, I must be seeing things. (She remembered what the book had mentioned) Hmmz .. the book .. Why don't I try again ?

She focus hard on a packet of Panadol that is left on the kitchen table. The panadol flew to her hands, just like what her slippers did.

Kuri : Ohoh .. what have I done ? ArRhz .. who care. This headache is killing me. I go and rest first. Will worry about this later .. Awww ..

She staggered to her soft and bouncy bed in her room and drift off to dreamland.

Int. Sky's House - Day

Mom : Sky !! Where've you been all night ?!

Sky : Sorry Mom, got something to attend to.

Mom : You should at least give a call back home. You know how worry I am of you when I discovered you weren't in your bed this morning ?!

Sky : Really Sorry, Mom. I swear this will not happen again. I got a headache, let me rest first ? Chat with you later tonight.

Mom : Fine, I got to go work anyway. You rest well ok ? There are some panadol on the medicine cabinet, go get some for yourself. REST WELL !! Don't slipped out of the house. I've got to go. Bye ..

Sky : Ok Mom, Bye. And really sorry about what happened just now.

Mom (As she closed the front door behind her) : It's ok, Bye ..

Sky (as he walk towards the cabinet) : Ok, this freakin headache is killing me. Where did the panadol go to? God !! (Looking at the mess inside the cabinet) Is it a pig sty here ? How am I suppose to find the stupid panadol ?

As Sky think hard about how the cabinet should be organise, the mess glow, instanously an organised cabinet is shown in front of him.

Sky : What the ..? Am I seeing things ? but it was messy just now .. unless ..OH NO !!

Next Day, Int Classroom - Rainy Day

Summer, Kuri & Sky meet up early in class to tell each other what had happened to each of them yesterday.

Summer : I was lying on the bed, then a vision come to me, foretelling me what will happen to my mom. Thank god I stopped it, otherwise ..

Kuri : Me too. I was wondering where the hell my soft slippers goes when suddenly !! It just slipped out from the sofa. I swear I didn't saw them there when I go home.

Sky : Me too. I was just ransacking the whole medicine cabinet for the stupid panadol. It was damn messy but I fantasized about how the cabinet should look & BAM !! The mess instantly become neat and tidy.

Summer : Do you think ..

Kuri : I think so ..

Sky : Let's go check the book for more answer.

While they are discussing about it, they are oblivious to a person behind them, evesdropping. As a lightning flash, the face of the person is seen. It's Mr Benson Khaw, their Geography teacher !!

End of Act 2

Int. Classroom - Noon

It's geography lesson. Mr Khaw was explaining the difference between the different techniques used to take measurements of the map. As he explain, he take a quick glance every now and then at Sky, Kuri & Summer, who are listening attentively to his lecture.

Soon, the bell rang. Everybody packed their bags, ready to go home. Mr Khaw called the 3 of them to stay back as he got something to tell them.

Benson K. : Ok, I need you 3 to meet me here at night, around 8.30p.m. I need some help with moving my documents. Is that ok with you guys ?

Sky, Kuri & Summer : Huh .. oh ok ..

Benson K. : Ok .. you guys can go now.

As the 3 of them left to classroom, Mr Khaw turned and smile sheepishly at them.

Outside Of School

The 3 of them was wondering why Mr Khaw requested to meet them so late at night.

Summer : Isn't it weird that he ask us to meet him, here and late at night ?

Kuri : Ya .. BUT !! We got our powers to protect us so .. if he try to be funny ..

Sky : Speaking of powers, I read the book yesterday .. it says that once our powers are awaken, we are now targets of evils such as Demons, Warlocks, Spirits & etc. So we better be prepared ..

Summer & Kuri (Together) : prepared for what ??

Sky : To fight them of course !! You don't want to end up dead, do you ? It says warlocks kill witches to gain their power. I don't know whether we are considered as Witches but I certainly am sure I don't want to wind up dead. Also, both sides kept a pact Eons ago that no using of powers in public for fear of exposure. Consequeces will be dire, so let's not use our powers in public ok ? AND MOST IMPORTANTLY !! There's something called " Personal Gains ". If we used our powers for our own or for evil, we will be punished by the Karmic law. Understand ??

Kuri : Wow .. so many rules to remember .. but I will try ..

Summer : Hmmz .. I can't really control my power but I will try my best not to use it wrongly.. Anything else ?

Sky : Well .. apparently our powers are kinda connected. I don't know how since the only power-connecting reason I got is by blood but we aren't blood related so I can't figure what reason is there that connect the 3 of us. However, our powers are the strongest when the 3 of us are together so let's try to stay as near to each other everyday, ok ?

Summer & Kuri : Sure ..

Sky : Anyway, we have a name as foretold by some Wise One. It's called " Ch0s3n ". We are now known as the " Ch0s3n 0nes ".

Summer & Kuri : Cool ..

Int Summer's House - Evening

Summer is on the phone, conferencing with Sky & Kuri ..

Summer : Guys .. I've a bad feeling about this. What if Mr Khaw was the demon or warlock that is mentioned by the book who is trying to steal our powers?

Sky (phone) : Don't be ridiculous. Sure it was weird that we meet up so late in the night but that doesn't means he is evil.

Kuri (phone) : But think about this .. even my mom and dad feel weird when I told them about this "meeting". And don't forget, Summer is now psyhic. If she's got a bad vibe, something must be wrong.

Summer : Sky, the book is with you right ? Check if there is any spell that can help us? Why don't we meet earlier ? For let's say , 6.30p.m ?

Sky (phone) : Ok sure ..

Kuri (phone) : I can't meet you guys so early. I've got something on. You guys meet first. I will meet up with you 2 later.

Summer & Sky : Ok .. be careful ..

Kuri : Ok ..

Int. School - Way to the Chapel

Kuri is rushing to the chapel. She watches her clock : 7.04 p.m. Suddenly, someone called her

(Voice) : Kuri !!

Kuri : Huh ?! Oh .. is you Mr Khaw !!

Benson K. : Ya .. you are early ya ? That's good .. Hey .. check this out ..

Mr Khaw fingers shapeshift into knife-like shaped. One of them grew and was pointing at Kuri's neck.

Benson K. : Guess what, Little Witch ? You have something I've wanted. Now give it to me !!

Kuri, in a state of panic, telekinated Mr Khaw by squirting her eys and send him somewhere far and he landed hard on the ground.

Kuri : Oh shoot !! Summer was right .. Help !!

Benson K. : Oh no you won't !!

Kuri focus hard on Mr Khaw, making him unable to stand up telekinetically till he lose sight of her.

Int. Secret Room

" Help !! Help !!" Kuri shouted as she came down the stairs.

Kuri : Quick Sky, Summer is right, Mr Khaw is evil. We gonna do something !!

Sky : What ?! Ok .. there's a spell in here that helps to repel evil. Let's see what we need .. A caunldron, some sea salt, a poppet & some basil. Thank god here is like Magick Heaven. All supplies linking to magick is here. Ok.. Let's do this ..

Summer do what she is told by Sky while he read the steps to her. Kuri stood beside Summer, stiring the cauldron.

Sky : Ok, we are supposed to chant this while holding the poppet together and sprinkled it with sea salt and dipping it into the cauldron.

Ch0s3n 0nes :

" This spell shall protect us from evil beings,
sea salt and basils to burn its skins.
Let this spell work, Oh great power,
Burn this evil into oblivion !! "

(Scene change to Mr Khaw skins burning, decomposing & flames shooting out from beneath his skins..

Benson K. : OWW !! ROARS !! DAMN STUPID WITCHES !! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU !!)

Int. Secret Room

After Finishing the spell, Summer was clearing up the cauldron when she had another vision :


" Mr Khaw was badly hurt, but not dead yet and he is rushing towards the chapel direction."


Summer : Guys !! He's not dead yet. He's Coming here, NOW !!

The 3 of them rush above the ground to the chapel door, to prevent Mr Khaw from opening it but before they reached the door, a cracked-face with various holes, with fire emitting out Mr Khaw open the door and shoot fireballs towards the Ch0s3n 0nes but Sky projected a deflective forcefield against the attack just in time to fed off the attacks.

Int. Chapel

The Ch0s3n 0nes are backing away from Mr Khaw. Kuri trying to send him flying telekinectically but to no avail. Sky tries to project ice strike towards the evil but he deflect it instead, crushing the ice.

Benson K. : Impressive powers I see, I think I will enjoy them very much once I have it. Take this !!

Mr Khaw shoots flames and flames towards the Ch0s3n 0nes and a ring of fire surrounds them.

Summer : Oh No .. What are we going to do??

Kuri : Oh ya !! I remembered .. I saw this spell somewhere in the book that can be used .. it's something like erm ... " United Powers, Ch0s3ns, Will Set us Free " ?

Sky : Ohya .. I remember that spell too .. Let's try chanting that spell .. We don't have other choice ..

Ch0s3n 0nes (Holding Hands) :

"United Powers, Ch0s3ns, Will Set us Free,
United Powesr, Ch0s3ns, Will Set us Free,
United Powers, Ch0s3ns, Will se .. "

As they chant the spell, the fire diminished, causing dark clouds and wind to surround them. Then, Mr Khaw body started to have crack-like lines on his body ..

Benson K. : I maybe the First evil to attack you but I will not be the last .. more will be coming for you. More !! MORE!! ArgGgHH !!

Those were his last words as he exploded, leaving only ashes in front of the Ch0s3n 0nes.

Summer : Power Of Ch0s3ns ..

Kuri : Ch0s3n 0n3s .. Forever ..

End Of Act 3

Int. Hall - Next Day

After national anthem, all students sat down on the floor and Miss Selene makes an announcement :

Miss Selen : Everybody, something unfortunate had happened. Due to unknown reasons, our geography teacher, Mr Khaw, will not be teaching in our school anymore starting from today. All geography lessons will be substitute by other teachers until a suitable teacher is hired. That's all. Classes, go back to your lesson.

Int. Classroom

The class was noisy, mostly speculating what happened to Mr Khaw and the reasons behind his quitting. Sky walk past those groups and settle down in his seat.

Sky : Well .. seems like everyone care about that Ev.. I mean teacher.

Summer : Ya .. but only we know the truth .. so let's just keep it that way.

Kuri : Agreed. Ch0s3n Forever ?

Sky & Summer : Ch0s3n Forever ..
