Int. Classroom - Wednesday Morning

The screen showed an overview of Singapore, with the sun shining brightly in the sky and the people are seen working or walking in the busy street of Raffles. The screen than shift to the exterior of the Ch0s3n 0nes' class. The screen then go into the room and we can see that the class is having english lesson with a new teacher, Miss Seetoh.

Miss Seetoh : Class, please remember that there is a comprehension test tomorrow. Study for it. I will based on the test to see who needs remedial and who doesn't.

Class : Yes ..

Miss Seetoh : Ok. Class, you may go.

The room become noisy as the students began to leave the room for their break. The screen zoom to the Ch0s3n 0nes, where they are seen packing up their stuff ..

Kuri : A class test. That's just great. Just when I thought I wasn't busy enough ..

Summer : Quit whining, Kuri. This is a comprehension test, we don't actually have to study.

Kuri : I know but still ..

Sky (interupt) : Ya. Just practise a bit and the test will be ok.

Kuri : I don't know about that. I mean, we still have to clear the manor, the chapel, sign the papers .. Woost ~ If I can survive all these, call me god.

Summer : Well, god, if that's the case, then Sky, let's go eat. Leave the god alone.

Kuri : Hey, I didn't say I'm not going to eat.

Sky : God don't eat.

Kuri : Well, I'm special. I need food. Let's go, I'm hungry.

(Just then, Dominic and Reon join them.)

Reon : You guys going to chat the whole break off or are we going to eat ?

Sky : All right. What's wrong with everybody ? Why are all of them so hungry ?

Dominic : It's puberty. We need food to grow.

Summer : Ok, that's .. gross.

Kuri : Ya .. Let's go. I'm starving ..

The 5 of them left the room and proceed to the canteen.

Int. Canteen

The Ch0s3n 0nes, Dominic and Reon bought their food and are seen eating in one of the table.

Sky : I'm getting the sick of the food. It's always the same old same old. I wonder when the new stall will open ?

Kuri : There's a new stall opening ?

Sky : Ya .. I heard it's selling western food or something. Not really sure.

Summer : Cool. I'm getting sick of the food anyway.

Just then, Kuri's phone rang. Kuri excused herself to go and answer the phone.

Ext. Canteen

Kuri leave the canteen with her phone to her ear ..

Kuri : Hello ?

Voice : Hi, Miss Kuri. I'm Jim's partner, Derick. Remember ?

Kuri : Ya. Can I help you ?

Derick (voice) : As matter of fact, Yes. I know Jim always call you guys when there are strange muders in the country.

Kuri : And you want our help ?

Derick (voice) : Yes. Can I meet you guys in the afternoon ?

Kuri : Erm .. We kinda have something on ..

Derick (voice) : How about after that ?

Kuri : I'll need to get back to you. What is the case anyway ?

Derick (voice) : It's hard explaining in the phone. But please, be quick. Or else more people will get hurt.

Kuri : Ok ..

Kuri hung up the phone. She looks worried as she stared forward. She clear her head and return to the canteen.

Int. Canteen

Kuri return to the table and continue eating. The 4 of them look at each other, sensing something wrong.

Summer : Kuri, who's that ?

Kuri : Derick.

Sky : Derick ? Who's that ?

Kuri : Remember Jim's partner when he and Jim came and save us when we are investigating Mitch's death ? He's the one.

Summer : Oh .. So what does he want ?

Kuri : Our help. Apparently, there's a strange case.

Sky : About ?

Kuri : That's it. He said he will explain more when we meet him.

Dominic : I thought you guys have to go to the law firm and sign the paper ?

Kuri : After that ..

(Bell Rang)

Summer : Do you think he knows our secret ?

Kuri : Don't know. He said Jim always find us when there are such strange cases around. Let's pray that he don't know.

Reon : Hey, finish up and let's go back to the class.

The rest nodded and continue to eat. After eating, they quickly rush back to the class ..

Int. Law Firm - Afternoon

The Ch0s3n 0nes are seen sitting in the 3 chairs in front of the desk, after school. After a while, Mars come in with some papers in his hands.

Mars : Sorry to ask the 3 of you to come down again but I need the signature from the 3 of you.

Summer : No problem ..

Mars push down the papers to the front of the Ch0s3n 0nes. They took the paper and began signing it. After that, they return the papers to Mars.

Mars : Ok. The account has been activated. Oh, by the way, Miss Kuri, here's the cheque.

(Mars hand the cheque to Kuri. The screen zoomed to the cheque, where it showed "$67,000")

Mars : I have found the best buyer for you. He offered this price.

Kuri : Thanks, Mr Mars. Anything else we need to sign or need to know ?

Mars : Er .. I guess not. You guys can go now.

Ch0s3n 0nes : Thanks a lot.

Mars : You're welcome.

(The Ch0s3n 0nes leave the office.)

Ext. Mars's Office

The Ch0s3n 0nes come of the room and walk to where Reon is sitting.

Reon : Everything settled ?

Kuri : Ya ..

Reon : Let's go then.

The 4 of them leave and proceed to the staircase. Assuring no one is around, the 4 of them glowed out.

Int. Sugei Buloh - Late Afternoon

The Ch0s3n 0nes and Reon glowed in behind a tree and come out. The screen showed their backview and as the screen slowly move up, we can see that there are police tapes everywhere, preventing tourists and visitors from entering and many police officers are gathering evidence. The Ch0s3n 0nes and Reon went close to the tape and signal Derick to come over.

Derick : You guys are here. Quick, come in.

The 4 of them entered and Derick led them to the location where there are some places covered by a cloth.

Derick : This morning, some staff were patrolling when they saw this ..

Derick lift the cloth, showing some heads with no body. The Ch0s3n 0nes and Reon look away in disgust.

Derick : There's not all. There are still limps and torsos found in some other places but not far from here. You want to see it ?

Ch0s3n 0nes & Reon : No THANK YOU !!

Derick realised what's going on and quickly cover up the heads. The 4 of them try to calm down as Derick led them away from the heads.

Derick : The coroner had made some assumptions that it maybe the work of some wild animals, which break into here and ate whoever the heads are.

Summer : You know the identity of the heads ?

Derick : Nope. But it should be some tourists as we ask the staff here and they said none of their staff had gone missing. So, you guys know what's the thing that killed them ?

Sky : Not yet. But we will take it from here. Thanks.

Derick : No, thanks to you. If you guys need anything, just call me.

Derick excused himself and walk towards where other officers are.

Reon : So, you guys know what's eating them ?

Kuri : Wendigo ?

Summer : You think ?

Kuri : Maybe. Still .. we need you to go and get premonition.

Summer shrugged her shoulders and go towards the covered heads unwillingly. She put her hand on top but after a while, there's nothing.

Summer : Nadah.

Reon : Let's go back and check the book. See whether if we can find anything.

The rest nodded and Sky went to find Derick and inform him about their leaving. After a few seconds, Sky returned and the 4 of them went back to the behind of the tree and glowed out.

End Of Act 1

Int. Manor (Attic) - Wednesday Late Afternoon

Summer is seen flipping the book, Kuri is using the internet, Sky is making some potions but Reon is nowhere to be seen. Just then, the doorbell is heard ..

Sky : I'll go and get it. You guys continue.

Sky leave the room.

Int. Porch

Sky open the door and saw a girl, who looked not more than 13 and with long silky hair in left parting.

Sky : Hi, can I help you ?

Girl : Hi, I'm living next door and I heard that someone move into the manor so I came to check it out. I'm Brenda by the way.

Sky : I'm Sky. We are going to move in here soon.

Brenda : We ?

Sky : Oh, Me and 2 other girls, Summer and Kuri. We are classmates and good friends.

Brenda : Oh I see. Well, if you need any help, just knock on our house door and my family will try to help you as much as they can.

Sky : Oh ok. Thanks a lot.

Brenda : You're welcome ..

Brenda left. Sky closed the door and return to the attic.

Int. Attic

Sk entered the attic. Summer and Kuri look up ..

Kuri : Who's that ?

Sky : Our new neighbour. A girl name Brenda.

Summer : Too bad she's a girl. If she's a guy ..

Sky : Hey, I'm not desperate enough to go into another relationship so fast. At least not for the time being. Anyway, how's the research coming ?

Kuri : Nice try changing the topic ..

(Sky give a smug look.)

Summer : Well, there is one that fit the descriptions. It's called a Manticore. (Read from entry) It says here, that A Manticore has the body of a red lion, a human head with three rows of sharp teeth and a tail of a scorpion. The Manticore can kill instantly with a bite or a scratch and will then eat the victim entirely, bones and all.

Kuri : Eww .. that's gross.

Sky : On the bright side, it doesn't waste food.

Summer and Kuri looked at Sky with a weird look. Just then, Reon glowed in.

Summer : Hey, anything from the underworld ?

Reon : Ya. Apparently the thing that ate them is called a Manticore.

Kuri : Ok, so we can confirm it's that thing.

Reon : And strangely, it's only found in Indonesia. Wonder how it got here, since it can't fly or swim ..

Sky : Any way to find that thing ?

Summer : Er ..We can try to write a spell to track it. I'll get started on it.

Kuri : Sky, potion done ?

Sky : Ya. Help me fill up those vials.

Reon : I need to take a rest. Met some bounty hunters on the way back here.

Sky : Oh my god, are you ok ?

Reon : Ya. A little fight won't kill me. Don't worry.

Kuri : Be careful next time. I don't want to lose a friend.

Reon smiled to Kuri and sit down at the couch. After a while, Summer walk towards the table ..

Summer : Spells done. You guys ready ?

Kuri : Ya. Wanna call Reon along ?

The Ch0s3n 0nes look towards the couch, and saw that Reon is snoring away.

Sky : I think .. we will go ourselves for this time. Let's go ..

They each take a fully stocked up bag of potions and gathered behind the table ..

Ch0s3n 0nes :

" Through time and space, this spell shall find,
This thing that ate, the human at night.
Locate this beast, help us search,
Shift us to thee, to where Manticore lurks !! "

Swirls of light balls surrounds the Ch0s3n 0nes and teleport them out.

Int. Sugei Buloh

The swirls of light balls are seen again and it materialised into the Ch0s3n 0nes. They look around ..

Summer : Now, where is it ?

Kuri : This better be quick. We still got a comprehension test tomorrow.

Sky : Then, let's get going. Summer, try sensing it out.

Summer nodded and closes her eyes.

Summer : Over there.

Kuri : Let's go.

Summer walk in the front, leading the other 2. After walking for a while, they went deeper and deeper into the forest. They finally stopped outside a cave.

Sky : Wow .. I never thought there will be a cave hidden in here.

Summer : Me too. I thought the government cleared the area so as to start this perserved garden.

Kuri : In any case, it let the monster have a place to live in and also have a chance to kill the innocent tourists. Let's go in.

The Ch0s3n 0nes entered the cave, with Sky going in first.

Int. Cave

Upon entering, the Ch0s3n 0nes look around. They quickly notices the monster in the end of the cave ..

Summer : The monster is over there.

Kuri : Want to wake it up ?

Sky : You think ?

Kuri : Hey hideous MONSTER !!

The Manticore wakes up and look at the Ch0s3n 0nes. Then it let out a roar which sounded like a mixture trumpet and pipes. It then ran towards the Ch0s3n 0nes and shoot out stings from its tail. Luckily, Sky project out the forcefield fast enough to fed off the attack. Kuri then telekinate the manticore but it only move a few steps back.

Kuri : It's too big. I can't send him flying off.

Summer : Then throw the potions.

The 3 of them began to throw the potions at the Manticore. Upon contact, it caused small explosions on the Manticore and wounds began to formed. The Manticore then run past the Ch0s3n 0nes and out of the cave.

Ext. Cave

The Ch0s3n 0nes come out and look for the Manticore.

Summer : It's big. It can't disappear just like that.

Kuri : Try sensing the Manticore again ..

Summer closed her eyes and try sensing for the monster. After a few seconds, she open her eyes ..

Summer : It's gone ..

Sky : What ?

End Of Act 2

Int. Manor (Attic) - Wednesday Evening

A smoke appeared into the attic, waking up the sleeping Reon. The smoke materialised into the Ch0s3n 0nes. They put the potion bag down and walk to the couch.

Reon : Where did you 3 go ?

Summer : To find the Manticore.

Reon : What ? Without me ?

Sky : You looked dead beat so we don't want to wake you up.

Reon : Well, I always have energy for demon-fighting. So next time, please wake me up ?

Summer : Fine.

Reon : So .. Manticore vanquished ?

Kuri : It ran off. Don't know how it escaped, considering the size of its humongous body.

Summer : Well, we need to find it, and fast.

Kuri : Do you think it will go back to its cave ?

Sky : Doubt so. Although it's an .. animal ? Anyway, it still has brains. I think it will either look for a new cave or dinner.

Reon : Oh that didn't sound good. If that's the case, we have to find the Manticore .. fast

Kuri : Any idea how ?

Summer : It's going to be night time soon. It has to eat.

Sky : So, we will wait for it at Sungei Buloh ?

Summer : Yes.

Reon : But how are we sure that it will be there ?

Summer : We don't. We just pray that it will be there.

Sky : Let's go.

The 4 of them stand up and glowed out.

Int. Sungei Buloh

The Ch0s3n 0nes and Reon glowed in from behind the tree and come out.

Summer : So we wait ..

The rest nodded and the 4 of them proceed to a bench found along the sandy walkpath. As time passes, the screen move up and showed the sky, turning from evening to night. Then the screen come down and show Sky and Reon on the bench, with the girls nowhere to be seen.

Sky : How are you adapting to the life so far ?

Reon : Good. With you guys around, just good. Just some occastional attacks from the bounty hunters, that's all.

Sky : What ? Why didn't you tell us ?

Reon : You guys have enough problems as it is. I don't want to act as a burden, especially not right now.

Sky : What do you mean ?

Reon : Well, you guys are moving in the manor and with the recent death of Jim, I can see that you all are still saddened by it, although you guys are not making it very obvious.

Sky : You are right. But if any bounty hunters want you, they have to go past us first. So please .. when they attack, tell us.

Reon nodded and smiled at Sky, who smiled back. Just then, Kuri and Summer return ..

Summer : Hey, what are you guys chatting about ?

Sky : Just some random stuff.

Kuri : Anything ?

Reon : Nope. Not a sound or movement here. It's getting dark. Maybe it's not here.

Kuri : If it isn't, we are screwed. Someone maybe eaten right now.

Summer : Let's go back to the manor and think of a way to find it.

The rest nodded. They go behind to tree as seen earlier and glowed out.

Int. Forest - Night

A man is seen jogging in a forest with his music on. As he jog deeper into the forest, he heard some noise from the left side. He turn and saw the bushes beside him move in a fierce motion. He back away from the bushes but he tripped and landed on the ground. Just then, the Manticore come of the bushes and crawl slowly towards the man.

Man (crawling back) : Oh my god .. What are you ? No .. go away ..

[Screen Blacked Out]

Int. Manor Attic - Thursday Morning

The screen fade into the attic, where we can see Summer and Kuri sleeping in the sofa and Reon and Sky putting their head on the table. Kuri's phone rang and wake everybody up ..

Kuri (sleepy) : Hello ?

Voice : Hey, it's Inspector Derick here.

Kuri : Inspector, why are you calling us so late in the night ?

Derick (voice) : Miss Kuri, it's already 7a.m in the morning.

Kuri : WHAT ?!

Kuri sit up and check the time from the phone, which showed "7.03a.m".

Kuri : Oh Gosh !! Inspector, I will call you later. I'm late for school !!

Kuri hang up abrutly. She quickly wake up the rest of them, who are shocked to find that it's already in the morning.

Kuri : There's a test and I haven't study yet.

Summer : Kuri, it's a comprehension test. You don't .. Arr forget it. Let's just get ready for school.

The rest of them gets up unwillingly and proceed out of the attic.

Int. Canteen - Late Morning

The Ch0s3n 0nes, Reon and Dominic are seen eating in the canteen. The screen zoomed to their plate, which are untouched, indicating that they just bought it.

Dominic : Why are you guys so late today ?

Summer : All because of the Manticore. We didn't even find it.

Sky : We try to find the Manticore. I guess we are too tired after having the first meeting with the monster.

Kuri : Oh right !! Inspector Derick called this morning. Wonder what it might be ?

Reon : Hope it is not another body found.

Kuri : One way to find out.

Kuri leave the table and went out of the canteen and make a call while the rest continue to eat their food. After a while, Kuri return but her face was different as seen before ..

Summer : What's wrong ?

Kuri : Another body found, in Red Hill. Inspector want us to meet him later.

Sky : What ?

Reon : No wonder we wait for so long and yet it didn't show up.

Summer : We have to meet him then and hopefully, find the Manticore and vanquish it.

The rest nodded. Then the bell is head ringing and the 5 of them left the canteen.

Int. Classroom

The 5 of them settle down quickly as Miss Seetoh steps in ..

Miss Seetoh : Ok class, keep all the things on the table except for your foolscap paper and your pencil case.

The class did as they are told as Miss Seetoh began to give the test paper to them. The scene transits to them doing the paper. It transits one more time, this time we can see Miss Seetoh collecting the paper.

Kuri : Crap .. I don't know how to do most of the questions. Stupid Manticore.

Sky : I managed to do most of the questions, except for the summary.

Summer : Me too. Better luck next time, Kuri.

Kuri : Maybe you are right ..

Int. Forest In Red Hill - Afternoon

After school, the Ch0s3n 0nes, Reon and Dominic glowed in from behind a tree and come out. Upon stepping out, they saw police tapes surrounding a location. They went under the tape and Derick notices them and walk towards them.

Derick : So glad you guys can come so quickly. Follow me ..

Derick lead the 5 of them into the crime scene. As he lift the cloth up, the Ch0s3n 0nes and Reon look at the head, who looked like the jogger seen earlier but Dominic look away in disgust. Derick cover the head and stands up ..

Derick : I can't let this happened anymore. The public and my bosses are noticing this case very closely.

Summer : We know. But .. we can't really tell what did this.

Derick : I know Jim used to call you guys when such strange cases happened. So I really hope you can help the police.

Kuri : Even though it's not human who did this ?

Derick : What ?

Kuri : Look, we can only tell you that this is not a human's doing.

Derick : And ?

Summer : The rest .. you shouldn't really know.

The 5 of them leave the crime scene and go behind the tree.

Int. Manor - Attic

Summer is seen flipping the book with Dominic beside her. Kuri is using the laptop and Sky is making potions. Reon enter the attic and pass some herb to Sky ..

Reon : This is the Mimosa that you want.

Sky : Thanks. Drop it in.

Just when Reon is about to drop the mimosa in, Sky stop him. He stands a few steps back.

Sky : Now you can do it.

Reon feel puzzled by Sky's action but he did what he was told. When the mimosa drop into the cauldron, a big explosion occurred, casuing Reon to fall flat on the ground. The rest all turn their heads towards the table. Sky smiled as Reon look at him ..

Reon : You knew this is going to happen, don't you ?

Sky burst out laughing, following by the rest in the room.

Sky (laughing) : Sorry. I just feel like having fun with you.

Reon (laughing) : Very funny. Next time, you do it.

Sky help Reon gets up while all of them are still laughing.

Sky : Can you help me get the vials over in the cabinent, Reon ?

Reon (turn his head to the side) : No ..

Sky (laughing) : Hey .. I say I'm sorry.

Reon : No .. Unless ..

Sky : Unless what ?

Reon : Ice cream ..

Sky : Fine. Now go ..

Reon walk over to the cabinet and take the vials. He gave them to Sky who fill them up one by one.

Sky : How's the research coming ?

Kuri : Well, nothing new. All which we already knew.

Summer : The spell is almost done. Once we locate the Manticore, it's doomsday for the monster.

Sky : Yup. One potion and BOOM BA !! Demon parts all over the place.

Reon : What actually did you put in the potion ?

Sky : A master will never reveal his secret. But whatever the potion is made of, I can assure you guys that it will definitely blow the monster up.

Reon : I can see that.

Summer : Then we are all set to go. Come on ..

Reon : I will go with you guys.

Dominic : Me too.

The 5 of them gather behind the table as the Ch0s3n 0nes began chanting ..

Ch0s3n 0nes :

" Lead us to thee, Manticore's next victim.
Shift us now, to where he is !! "

Swirls of light surround the 5 of them and they disappeared when the balls of lights dissolved.

Int. Sugei Buloh - Night

Swirls of light appeared and materialised into the 5 of them.

Kuri : Why are we here again ?

Summer : Maybe the Manticore is here ?

Sky : Then we should know where it is. Let's go.

The 5 of them walk into the forest seen by the side and they walk deeper and deeper into it. After a while, they stopped outside a cave ..

Kuri : This is it.

Reon : Ready ?

Summer : Let's do this. Dominic, if the situation become more and more dangerous, leave .. immdiately.

(Dominic nodded.)

Sky : Let's go.

The 5 of them enter the cave.

Int. Cave

Upon entering the cave, they saw the Manticore, eating.

Summer : Ok .. that's gross.

Dominic : Want to attract its attention ?

Reon : Allow me ..

Sky : Be my guest.

Reon nodded and began to throw a few energy balls towards the Manticore. It turn and look at them, giving out a roar as the balls hit it. It began to move swiftly towards them but Sky's forcefield came up, preventing the monster from hitting them. The Manticore try to break through the forcefield but Kuri and Reon telekinate it away together, making it hit the cave wall and landed hard on the ground. Sky's forcefield came down as they begin to walk towards the Manticore.

Kuri : For the final act ..

The Ch0s3n 0nes throw the potions at the Manticore. Flames began to emerged from the Manticore and with a final roar, it exploded into thosand pieces.

Dominic : Finally ..

Kuri : One demon gone and the nature preserved park is safe once more.

Reon : (Yawn) .. Ok, I need some sleep, preferably now.

Sky : Me too ..

Summer : Let's go then.

The 5 of them gathered around and glowed out.

End Of Act 3

Int. Manor (Attic) - Thursday Night

The Ch0s3n 0nes, Reon and Dominic are seen unpacking the stuff from the boxes into various parts of the attic. After a while, they all stumbled back onto the sofa set, looking dead beat.

Dominic : Please tell me that's the last box.

Summer : There is still one last box in the chapel.

Kuri : Let's just take a break first. By the way, since we are moving into the manor, I was thinking of throwing a house-warming party, you know, to officially declare this house is own by us.

Sky : I agree. Hey, with Lunar New year around the corner, maybe we can have a house-warming party cum a Lunar new year party. How's that ?

Summer : Good idea !! We'll need to prepare a lot of things then.

Reon : Don't worry. Me and Dominic will be there to help you, right ?

Dominic nodded. Just then, the door bell rang.

Summer : It's late. I wonder who will that be ?

Sky : I'll go and answer. Don't leave without me.

The rest nodded as Sky leave the attic.

Int. Porch

Sky open the door and saw Brenda in the porch.

Sky : Hi Brenda. What's up ?

Brenda : Oh .. Just drop by to see if you guys need any help ?

Sky : We're doing fine. Thanks ..

Brenda : Oh I see. Then, bye ..

Brenda walk out of the porch but she quickly rush back and stop Sky who is about to close the door.

Brenda : Sky .. I was wondering .. if you .. if you could go out with me ?

Sky (startled) : What ?

Brenda : I kinda .. like you, Sky.

Sky : Ok .. Slow down a minute here. We just met.

Brenda : I know. I'm sorry.

Sky : It's ok. Hey I know. Why don't we go out, not as a date but just going out ?

Brenda : Sounds good.

Sky : So I'll call you.

Brenda : Ok.

Brenda leave as Sky close the door, with a smile on her face.

Int. Attic

Sky re-enter the attic. Everyone look at him ..

Summer : Who's that ?

Sky : Just our neighbour. She's really helpful though.

Reon : Maybe I should go and meet her.

Sky : Maybe you should. Hahahz ..

Kuri : Hey, shall we go ?

All nodded and get up from the sofa and gathered behind the table. They hold hands and glowed out.

Int. Secret Room

The 5 of them glowed in and walk towards where the last box is. Dominic picked it up as the rest look around in the room.

Summer : I'll never forget this place.

Kuri : I'll never forget how we got our powers and changed our life.

Sky : I'll never forget how we fight all the demons and plan our attack in this sacred place.

Reon : I'll never forget this place, where we turn from enemy to ally.

The 5 of them look around, reminiscing for the last time. Then Summer walk to the altar, where we can see 2 large white candle burning brightly.

Summer : Good bye for now, chapel ..

Kuri : Bless it be ..

As Summer blow the candle off, the screen is filled with darkeness in an instant ..
