Int. Manor (Dining Room) - Saturday Afternoon

The screen lights up from the credits into the overview of Singapore. It showed various attractions of Singapore, with people either walking by or shopping. It transits to the exterior of the manor. It then transits one more time into the dining room, where we can see the Ch0s3n 0nes in their respective seats, eating lunch.

Summer : So, what time did you closed last night ?

Sky : 5a.m. Singaporeans really like to stay out late.

Kuri : The latest the better. That way we can earn more money by them buying the drinks.

Sky : Ya. Hahahaz ..

Summer : Speaking of drinks, where's Sirius ?

Sky : He and his bunch of Lightbringer friends got drunk. I actually have to cast a spell to send them back to their home.

Kuri : Wow .. and I thought Lightrbringers won't get drunk considering they are .. you know, dead.

Sky : Looks like they can. I had a hard time convincing my workers on why they are seen sleeping on the couch in one second, and gone the next.

Summer : It's their night out. Let them have fun.

Sky : I'm not angry. Just .. felt pissed that he got drunk and it was me who brought him home. Don't see that he is so fit, he is damn heavy. I'll make him lose some weight when he recovered from the hangover.

(The Ch0s3n 0nes laughed.)

Sky : So Sum, met any guys from the club ?

Summer : One or .. 5. Got their numbers but don't intend to call them back.

Kuri : Why ?

Summer : Please .. Guys from the club ? It's like going out with the wolf from the wild. It's dangerous.

Sky : You have skill. You can fight them off if they try to be funny.

Summer : I don't mean that. Guys coming to club to find girls are just trying to toy with them and I'm not those who can be toyed with. So, it's still goes down to meeting guys out of the club.

Kuri : Good point. I should consider that too when a guy approaches me in there.

The Ch0s3n 0nes laughed at the sacarstic comment. Just then, Sirius came down the stairs with a hand rubbing his temples and walk towards the dining room.

Sirius : Aww ..

Sky : You're up. Hangover ?

Sirius : Ya. Awww ..

Sky : This will teach you not to drink so heavily next time.

Sky pass 2 panadol and a glass of water to Sirius, who consumed it immediately.

Sirius : Thanks ..

Summer : Wow .. You must have one heck of a time last night.

Sirius (still rubbing his temples) : Ya. We haven't had such a good time since 1968.

Kuri : 1968 ? Isn't that the hippies era ?

Sky : You was once a hippie ?

Sirius : I have to be one to blend in. Plus, a lot of my charges were too. It wasn't so bad.

Summer : Ya. Bad clothing and bad hygiene. I can't imagine you are one of those.

Sirius : Was. Every period had its own notable period of history. Like the Witch trials in the 1690s and of course, the Hippie period. Lightbringers have to blend in so as not to arouse suspicious of their charges.

Kuri : Interesting ..

Sky : Well, it's good to let off steam once in a while but not to the extent of being dead drunk. I had a hard time sending you and your friends back.

Summer : Especially you.

Sirius : Sorry, honey ..

(Sirius give Sky a hug.)

Sky : Ya. And you need to lose weight.

(The Ch0s3n 0nes and Sirius laughed.)

Sky : Well, you guys eat. I have to go to the club now to get ready for opening.

Sirius : I'll orb you.

Sirius stand up briefly but the hangover took hold, making him dizzy.

Sky : No. you stay here and rest. I will travel by bus.

Sirius : Love you.

Sky : Me too.

(Sky proceed out of the dining room.)

Kuri : So, now that the club is opened, when are you 2 getting married ?

Sirius : Not so soon. I pop the question again but he told me he wants to focus on the club for now until the business is steady. But, I will secretly plan the wedding.

Summer : You are such a good boyfriend. Wonder when will I find one like you.

Sirius : If you want, I have a couple of single Lightbringer friends. Just tell me if you like to hook it up.

Summer : Thanks for the offer but no thanks. I still believe in finding one my own.

Sirius : No problem. By the way, give me some comment about this.

Sirius take out a box and open the cover, showing Summer and Kuri a nice silver ring with a small diamond in the middle ..

Summer & Kuri : Ohhh ...

Int. Club

Sky come down from the stairs and see a rather untidy bar top.

Sky : What the hell ? I thought I've cleaned this up before I leave.

Sky walk confusingly towards the bar and put the glasses back to their respective places. He then come out of the bar and walk towards the office but he stopped again when he heard come clinking sound. He turn back to see the glasses he has just put back have now return to the original places before.

Sky : What the hell ?

Sky walk back into the bar and put back the glasses. Feeling confused, he leave the bar again and proceed towards the office. He stopped again when he heard the clinking sound once more. He turn back and saw the glasses back to the places as before.

Sky : Ok, this is getting annoying. To anyone or anything out there, if you think it's funny, it's not !! Stop it before I vanquish you !! (Pause) I can do it !!

Just then, the phone rang and startled Sky. Sky shrugged his shoulder and walk over to the phone, answering it.

Sky : Hello ?

(Voice unheard.)

Sky : Oh, it's you.

Kuri (voice) : Why ? What's wrong ?

Sky : Nothing, it's just .. things are a little bit freaky around here.

Kuri (voice) : What ?

Sky : Never mind. What's wrong ?

Kuri (voice) : Well, just want to tell you that Sirius has invited a few more of his friends to the club tonight.

Sky : What ? Why isn't he telling me this himself ?

Kuri (voice) : He is sleeping now.

Sky : Oh .. ok. What about you guys ?

Kuri (voice) : We'll see first. Call you later.

Sky : Ok.

Sky hung up and look at the bar, seeing the glasses have been back to where it was. Sky sighed and walk into the office.

End Of Act 1

Int. Club (Office) - Saturday Late Afternoon

Sky is seen going over some papers in his desk. Just then, a knock was heard on the door and Alex enter.

Sky : Hi, Alex. A little too early for work, don't you think ?

Alex : Oh .. I'm bored at home today so decided to report to work early. Is that ok ?

Sky : Ya. Don't be silly. Erm .. there are some boxes of coke at the back. If you don't mind, can you help me load them into the fridge in the bar ?

Alex : No problem.

Sky : Thanks.

Just when Alex is going out, Sky called her back.

Alex : Yes ?

Sky : Erm, Alex. Do you have any comments after all these weeks of working here ?

Alex : Not that I know of. Why ?

Sky : Did anything like .. weird happened while you are working, before, during and after, in the club ?

Alex : Erm .. No.

Sky : Ok. Thanks.

Alex : No problem. (Going out but turn back) I have this weird feeling like someone or something is with me all the time when I worked, if that's what you are asking.

Sky : Really ? Tell me about it.

Alex : I don't know but .. it's like, someone is watching me or following me. But other than that, everything's fine.

Sky : Hmmz .. ok. Thanks. You ask around, see who has also faced such problem like you.

Alex : Actually, everybody. Even some customers feedback to me said that they felt something weird in the club, when they are dancing, at the bar, in the toilet .. do you need me to continue ?

Sky : No. Erm .. thanks for telling me this. In the future if you guys have any diffculty, please talk to me about it ?

Alex : Sure, absolutely.

Sky : Thanks.

Alex nodded and proceed out of the office. Sky sighed and take the phone and begin dialing. The sound of call waiting to be connected is heard and it runs for a few seconds before someone answer it.

(voice) : Hello ?

Sky : Hi, Mr Lim ?

Mr Lim (voice) : Ya. And you are ?

Sky : I'm Sky, the one who bought the club from you.

Mr Lim (voice) : Oh !! Ya Ya Ya !! Hi .. How's the club doing ?

Sky : Good. Very good in fact.

Mr Lim (voice) : Glad to hear that. So, what's the purpose of your call ? Anything the contractor did not do well or did I forgot to mention anything about the club to you ?

Sky : No. Actually, there's something I need to ask you. Did anything weird happened when your club is commencing ? Or do you feel as though someone is watching you or following you ?

(Long Pause.)

Sky : Hello ? Mr Lim ? Are you still there ?

Mr Lim (voice) : Oh .. er .. Ya.

Sky : So ?

Mr Lim (voice) : Erm .. Not really. If you think that business is good since the first day it operates is weird, then it is.

Sky : Oh .. Ok. Thanks. Sorry to bother you.

Mr Lim (voice) : No problem.

Sky hung up and rethink the conversation he just had. Just then, a scream is heard coming from the back and Sky rush out of the office.

Int. Storeroom

Sky rush in, to see Alex leaning back against the wall, shocked.

Sky : Alex !! Are you ok ? What's wrong ?

Alex : Blo .. Blood ..

Alex point slowly to the floor and the screen following Sky as he turn to see where Alex pointed, showing a trail of blood.

Sky : Alex, can you move ?

(Alex nodded nervously.)

Sky : Go to the office and take a rest. And forget about this. (Pause) Alex ?

Alex : (regaining focus) Ya .. Ya, ok.

Sky slowly escort Alex out of the store room and return after a few seconds, walking over to the trail of blood, examining it.

Sky : Oh great .. and I thought I've found the perfect club.

Sky sighed and look away in a few second, before realising the trail is leading somewhere. He follow the trail to the end of the storeroom and found it stop suddenly. Sky look around, trying to another trail but couldn't.

Sky : Looks like I'm going to need some extra help.

Sky look back at the blood trail, only to find it disappeared.

Sky : O .. k ..

(Sky leave the store, puzzled ..)

Int. Manor (Summer's Room) - Saturday Evening

Summer is seen studying her homework while listening to some music through the earphones. Just then, a knock was heard on the door and Kuri enter.

Kuri : Hey Sum .. (Notice her earphones with music playing slightly from it) Sum. (Pause) Summer !! Summer Liang !!

Kuri rolled her eyes and tapped her shoulders. Shocked, Summer turn her head quickly and saw Kuri, taking down her earphones.

Summer : Sorry ..

Kuri : You should not turn on the music so loud. Firstly, you are going to damage your ear. Secondly, what if a demon attack ? You think they will be so nice like me to tap on your shoulders to attack you ?

Summer : Oh don't be a mummy. With all that have been happening, this is the one thing I can relax with now. So, what's wrong ?

Kuri : Sky called. He want us to go and meet him at the club, saying that something weird happened in the club and Alex has been freaked out by it.

Summer : Alex ? How is she involved ?

Kuri : Sky says she is unloading the goods at the back of the store and found blood trails. But it has now disappeared.

Summer : That's weird.

Kuri : Tell me about it. We've only got 3 hours till the club opens. Come on.

Summer : And I thought I finally have time to study. (Exhale) Let's go.

Summer got up and proceed out of the room with Kuri.

Int. Club - Storeroom

The Ch0s3n 0nes enter the store and Sky lead the girls towards the spot where the blood trail was.

Summer : There's nothing.

Sky : It was there but it disappeared the moment I turned my head. My staff tell me they felt some disturbance whenever they are in the club and I just had a first-hand experience with whatever that is doing this. Guess they are all linked.

Kuri : (Check her watch) You know what ? You go and get ready for the opening while the 2 of us help you to check it out.

Sky : Can you ?

(Summer and Kuri nodded.)

Sky : Thank you !! Thank you !! Thank you !! I'll be in the bar if you need my help. Be careful.

Summer : Don't worry. It's just an investigation.

(Sky smiled and proceed out of the storeroom.)

Summer : So, how do we start ?

Kuri : Well, we need to find the trail, see where it will lead us.

Summer : But it has disappeared. (Pause) A spell maybe ?

Summer & Kuri :

"This lost trail, gone in one second,
Return now and lead us how. "

Blood begin to form on the spot where it once was and form the trail. Only this time, the trail is much longer, leading towards the end of the storeroom, turning into the corner. Summer and Kuri look at each other for a second and follow the trail ..

Int. Dancefloor - Night

Sky is serving drinks to one of the customer. The screen then move to a group of girls, dancing. Just then, 3 small bloody hands are seen touching the girls' leg, dirtying it with blood. Feeling touchy and something flowing down their legs, the 3 girls look down, seeing nothing. The girls don't care and continue to dance. The screen move down again to their legs and the 3 bloody hands are seen touching their legs again. The same girls look down again, this time, seeing trails of blood flowing down their legs with little handprints on it ..

End Of Act 2

Int. Club (Bar) - Saturday Midnight

The screen lights up at the exterior of the club. It then transits into the bar, where Sky is still serving some customers. Just then, the 3 girls came over to the bar and sit down.

Sky : Hey Trisha, Liv and Jen. Have fun ? (Pause) Girls ?

Trisha : Oh .. sorry. What was your question again ?

Sky : Did you guys have fun in the dancefloor ?

Liv : Erm .. no. Something weird happened.

Sky : What happened ?

Jen : Blood .. flowed down our legs.

Sky : OH .. Erm .. do you need the "Bread" ? 'Cause we've the machine installed in the girls' bathroom.

Trisha : No. The blood started from the knee to the ankle. And .. there are small hand prints on it.

Sky : What ?

Liv : Never mind. It's nice in here, Sky but we have to go. We're tired.

Sky : Oh ok .. Bye .. have a safe trip.

The girls nodded and leave the bar. Just then, Summer and Kuri come rushing towards him.

Sky : Hey, so ? How's the investigation go ?

Summer : Good .. disturbingly good. Come on ..

Sky : Ok. Greg, take care of here.

Greg nodded and Sky walk out of the bar, running off to the back with Summer and Kuri.

Int. Storeroom

The Ch0s3n 0nes enter and Summer and Kuri lead Sky towards the back of the storeroom.

Sky : Ok, we're here this evening. Why are we here again ? The blood trail is not here anyway.

Kuri : Ya but we cast a little spell and ..

Kuri point to the corner and Sky look in, seeing nothing.

Kuri (continue) : And we found something underneath the concrete.

Sky look at Kuri and Summer and walk into the corner. He see a surface of cracks and Kuri telekinate the concrete out, revealing 2 bottles of red liquid. Sky take out the 2 bottles and examine it.

Sky : Guys, there's something in it.

Sky show the 2 bottles to Summer and Kuri, who saw the same thing as he do.

Summer : Foetus .. Gross ..

Sky : Looks like I'm going to make a call.

Kuri : Looks like we have some checking up to do ..

Int. Club (Office) - Sunday Morning

(Sky is seen on the phone.)

Sky : I think it's time you tell me the truth.

Mr Lim (voice) : What truth ? That's nothing for me to say.

Sky : No .. you are obviously hiding something from me. Please .. tell me what's going on. There's too much at stake here. (Pause) Uncle Lim ?

Mr Lim (voice) : (Exhale) Fine. The truth is .. the reason why my club is doing so well is because .. I reared toyols.

Sky : What ?

Int. Manor - Attic

Summer : (reading from the entry) Toyols. They are small children spirits invoked by Malay witch doctors from dead human foetuses using black magic. A person who owns a toyol uses it mainly to steal things from other people, or to do mischief. However, they can also attract businesses as well.

Kuri : Then the owner before Sky must have put it there to attract customers. But why ?

Summer : My guess is that the business before didn't start out well. That's why he has to dabbled in this thing to attract people.

Kuri : Did the book say how to get rid of it ?

Summer : Ya. We have to burn it.

Kuri : We have to tell Sky this.

Summer nodded and walk over to the table, taking the phone.

Int. Club - Office

(The scene continue ..)

Sky : You did what ?!

Mr Lim (voice) : My business didn't start out successful like it seems. Not much people will come to my club because it is not accesible and back at that time, polices like to raid clubs for drugs and illegal immigrants. Because of this, many clubs have closed down. Mine was facing bankruptcy and just when I'm going to close my club, one of my friends told me about toyols and what it can do. I have no choice but to rear one.

Sky : 2 , you mean ?

Mr Lim (voice) : Yes. But right after I reared it, the government built a taxi stand by the side and a bus stop on the left where 7 buses alight one every 15 minutes. I never thought it worked but .. it did.

Sky : Do you even know what you are getting yourself into ? You could have get yourself killed.!! Dabbling into the supernatural for own selfish gains ? It will have karma. These things always does.

Mr Lim (voice) : Relax, Sky. I know what I did was wrong but think about this, what if it was you ?

Sky : I could find ways to promote the club, un-supernaturally.

Mr Lim (voice) : Believe me, I've tried all the methods under the sun before I'm forced to rear toyols.

(Sky don't know what to say.)

Mr Lim (voice) : Listen, Sky. What's done cannot be undone. You just have to make do with it. Besides, they won't cause any problem.

Sky : Too late, they have already done it. (Exhale) Never mind. I will deal with this myself.

Sky hung up. He support his head on the table and just then, the phone rang.

Sky : Hello ?

Summer (voice) : Hey, we've found something about the bottles. Apparently, they are called toyols. They are being kept to either steal things or to attract customers to the club.

Sky : I know. Mr Lim, the owner that sold me the club, told me.

Summer (voice) : Oh, ok. Erm, we will come to the club now and we'll discuss what to do with the bottles.

Sky : All right.

Sky hung up. Just then, a pair of hands slide down Sky's shoulder and in reflexes, Sky turn back and explode the person into different thosands of blue orbs.

Sky : What the hell ?

The thosands blue orbs fly in from all directions and collated together, materialising into Sirius.

Sky : Oh god, you scared me !!

Sirius : Sorry !! I didn't know you are so jumpy today.

Sky : (Exhale) It's ok. So, what time did you come home last night ?

Sirius (walk over to hug Sky) : 2a.m. I was dead tired and my head hurts like hell from the hangover I got the day before.

Sky : This will teach you not to drink so much.

Sirius : All right, mummy. I will not do it again.

(Sky laughed and kiss Sirius.)

Sirius : So, I heard there's something going on with the club.

Sky : Ya but it's not important. Just some toyols running around.

Sirius : What are you going to do ?

Sky : I don't know. Summer and Kuri are on their way here and then we will discuss what to do.

Sirius : Toyols are kid spirits, they are pratically harmless and will only do evil things when they are being asked of their owners.

Sky : So they are not evil ?

Sirius : No, only naughty. They are kids, that's what they do.

Sky : I see. Then I will have to think twice about having a baby.

Sirius (smiling) : Don't you dare ..

(Sky smiled and yawned.)

Sirius : You have been working so hard, even before the club begins that you haven't has a good rest.

Sky : I don't have a choice, the club just started and a lot of things need to be done.

Sirius : Why don't you hire a captain ? Or choose one from the team ?

Sky : Because I don't want them to have conflict among themselves.

Sirius : What I meant is, you let everyone has a chance to be a captain. One person will in charge of one week. That way you can get some rest.

Sky : Hmmz .. never thought of it that way. Thanks sweetie.

Sirius : You're welcome. Well, I've got to go. Charges called.

Sky : All right. Be careful.

Sirius : I will. Hmmz .. I was thinking, how about a candlelit dinner tomorrow night ?

Sky : Sounds great. I will take leave tomorrow.

Sirius : Perfect. I love you.

Sky : I love you too.

(Sirius orbed out.)

Kuri (voice) : Sky !! Are you in there ?! We're here !!

Sky : Coming !!

(Sky proceed out of the office)

Int. Dancefloor

Sky closed the door and walk towards Summer and Kuri.

Sky : So, how do we go about getting rid of them ?

Kuri : We have to burn them.

Sky : What ?! No way !! Although they are spirits but they are still kids !! I won't do that.

Summer : Sky, they are evil. We have to burn them. That's the only way to vanquish them. And .. it's the only way to let them go. Otherwise, they will be under the wrath of whoever is controlling them.

Sky : No, they are not evil. They are just mischievous little kids. And besides, they did not live long and then Bam !! They are dead. It's not fair to them. I won't let them die .. again.

Kuri : Then how are you going to get rid of them ?

Sky : Hmmz ..

Int. Storeroom

The Ch0s3n 0nes enter the storeroom.

Ch0s3n 0nes :

" From all the powers that surround us three,
we summon the toyols before thee !! "

2 small smoke begin to form in twirling motion before the Ch0s3n 0nes, the colours getting redder and redder. Then it materialised into the toyols, 2 small kids with horns on their heads and blood-drenched.

Sky : Ok. Are you little guys the ones who has been disturbing my customers ?

(The 2 toyols look at Sky, scared.)

Sky : Don't worry. I won't hurt you. Tell me, are you 2 responsible for all the weird things that has been happening in my club ?

(The 2 toyols nodded.)

Sky : Well, I can understand that you 2 are still kids, and you have nowhere to go and I love to keep you here but I can't. I still need to run my business. What if, you follow me, I will find another resting place for you, how's that ?

The 2 toyols look at each other, confused ..

Int. Swamps

Sky is seen burying something in front of a tree in a swamp, with Summer and Kuri a few few metres behind. He finishes and rejoin the girls, which the screen reveal the 2 toyols stand before the tree, under the shade.

Sky : This will be your final resting place. No one will come and disturb you anymore, I promise.

(The 2 toyols smiled and nodded.)

Sky : You're free !! But .. I need you to promise me something. Never disturb people again nor do not harm them. And protect this swamp from bad guys, understand ?

(The 2 toyols nodded.)

Sky : Ok. Be gone now ..

Summer : Bye ..

Kuri wave good-bye. The 2 toyols smiled at each other and scrambled off into the deep swamp.

Sky : I'm going to miss them.

Kuri : Me too.

Summer : Think they will come back ?

Sky : I don't mind they come back but they better not stay.

The Ch0s3n 0nes laughed and they walk out of the swamp, with the screen showing their backview walking towards the main road ..

End Of Act 3

Int. Club (Dancefloor) - Sunday Night

The screen lights up in the overview night scenery of Singapore. It then transit to the the exterior of the club, where a lot of people are lining up to go inside. Music are blasting loud and we, the audience, can still hear it despite the sound-proof walls. The screen then transits into the bar, showing Sky passing a tray of drinks to Caressa.

Sky : Send this to table 4.

Caressa : Ok.

Caressa walk away. Just then, 3 familiar women walk towards the bar and sit down.

Sky : Hey girls, thanks for coming.

Trisha : Well, you invite us here. Can't say no, can't we ?

Sky : Thanks for giving me face. Anyway .. (put 3 glasses of virgin mary on the table) I invited you girls here to tell you that there won't be anymore strange things happening in the club anymore.

Liv : Really ?

Sky : Really. And these 3 glasses of virgin mary are on the house.

Girls : Thanks !!

Sky : Hope you girls will patronise often.

Jen : No problem.

Liv : And we will bring all of our friends here too !!

Sky : Thanks a lot ..

The 3 girls take their drinks and proceed towards the dancefloor. Just then, Summer and Kuri walk towards the bar and sit down.

Summer : Hey ..

Kuri : Looks like the club still have lots of customers.

Sky : Ya. Seems like the toyols have helped me a lot. Although they caused a little mischief and I have to take care of their little messes but .. it's all good.

Summer : A little parenting training for you before Rachel comes.

Sky : Ya. I know kids will be messy and naughty but .. I think I can handle them.

Kuri : Even if you can't, we can help you take care of her. Don't worry, we get your back.

Sky : Thanks.

Sky turned back and pour 3 glasses of drinks and return to Summer and Kuri, giving 2 glasses to them.

Sky : A toast .. to the opening of the club.

Kuri : To us, the Ch0s3n 0nes.

Summer : To .. forever ..

The Ch0s3n 0nes smiled at each other and clinked their glasses together, making a toast ..
